PHD (Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda) MASTERS (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda) – 2025-2026 

The University of Dar es Salaam Research Chair on Forced Displacement UDSMRCFD under a research project titled: “Strengthening knowledge, evidence use and leadership in the global South on forced displacement: with a focus on East Af‚ica” funded by the Inte‚national Development Research Centre IDRC of Canada: invites applications for research fund from a PhD candidate (one position) and a maste‚’s student (one position). 

Eligibility: 

• PhD and masters students who are citizens or refugees in count‚ies named above and are in their research year and working in any of the following topics:

1. Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons and asylum seekers from conflicts
2. Internally Displaced Persons from climate –related disaster
3. Development/projects induced displacement
4. Marginalized/indigenous population facing exclusion, relocation or forced displacement
5. Trafficking induced displacement
