Juni Leonard Mdede is an Assistant Lecturer (Public Administration) at the University of Dar es Salaam in the College of Social Sciences - Department of Political Science and Public Administration. He holds a Master's Degree of Arts in Public Administration (MAPA) from 2022 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Administration (PSPA) from 2013. He joined the University of Dar es Salaam in July 2023 through the recruitment and transfer process from the Judiciary of Tanzania. At the Judiciary of Tanzania, Juni Mdede was employed as Human Resource Officer II on 02 January 2015 and promoted to Human Resource Officer I on 29/06/2021.
As a Human Resource Officer at the Judiciary of Tanzania Juni Leonard Mdede achieved to meet his obligations in all administrative and human resource functions. He was also a focal person in implementing Strengthening Tanzania’s Anti-Corruption Action Programme from 2015 to 2016 and the Citizen-Centric Judiciary Modernization and Justice Service Delivery Project from 2016 to 2023.
As an Assistant Lecturer (Public Administration) since July 2023, Juni Mdede has been co-teaching with Senior Academicians in two different undergraduate courses, Introduction to Public Policy (PS 233) and Public Finance Management (PS 314). Moreover, he has been appointed an Examination Officer (EO) of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration for a triennium (2023 -2026), he also performs other academic and administrative duties assigned to him by the College or Department.
Juni Leonard Mdede is expected to pursue a PhD study in recent years as part of career development in academic life and to achieve more expected roles of contributing to academics and the community in general.
