Mr. Sissa Gotifred Ackrey is a Laboratory Scientist at the Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation within the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Dar Es Salaam. He has been a member of staff at UDSM since 2017. His roles include Teaching Practicals for Undergraduate studies, Research and Consultancy, Public Services and Departmental duties. He holds a degree in Biotechnology and Laboratory Sciences from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), 2012 and a Master of Science degree in Applied Zoology at the College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS) of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), 2024.

Mr. Sissa Gotifred Ackrey had been working with several Institutions before joining the University of Dar es Salaam in 2017, as soon as He completed his Bachelor's degree, Mr Sissa Gotifred Ackrey Joined Tanzania, Food and Drugs Authority (Currently known as TMDA) as a Drugs Analyst in 2013, in 2014 He joined Tanga Regional Hospital as Lab. Technologist in Hospital Diagnostic Lab. Furthermore, in 2015 He joined the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Tanzania zone as a Research officer in the Molecular Biology Lab. He acquired many skills in molecular diagnostics and techniques, advanced molecular techniques and other molecular research-related techniques.

Early in 2017, Mr. Sissa Gotifred Ackrey, Got an offer for the post of Laboratory Scientist at the University of Dar es Salaam in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation

Mr. Sissa Gotifred Ackrey has the passion, skills and knowledge in biological research and techniques. He teaches several topics including vertebrate anatomy and physiology, Histology, Molecular genetics and biological methods and techniques. He has a specific interest in molecular Biology and techniques, Histopathology and Histopathological techniques. in addition, Mr Sissa G Ackrey is an IT coordinator of the Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation. In this role, He is dealing with Collrgr web management and Computer management both, hardware and software.  Further, Mr Sissa Ackrey is the In-chrge of the Histopathology Laboratory ofnthe Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation, University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).
