Current Summarised CV: | Ms. Batuli Mohammed Yahya is Assistant Lecturer at the Institute of Marine Sciences (IMS), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). She did her BSc. In Fisheries science and Aquaculture and MSc. in Marine sciences at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and graduated in 2009 and 2013, respectively. She is currently doing her PhD at the same University. Her research interests include marine fisheries, aquaculture, seaweed farming and marine ecology. Ms Batuli has been part of the team in the preparation of Fisheries Development Strategies for Zanzibar already completed under SWIOFISH project and Preparation of the Book - State of the coast for the Zanzibar (under WIOMSA). Currently she is doing research on fish assemblages in seaweed farms, adjacent seagrass, sandy and coral reefs habitats in her ongoing PhD. She also works a lot with other stakeholders in marine sciences. She has a strong network and share experience with other experts in marine sciences. For example, she is the coordinator of Women in Marine Science network for Zanzibar under Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association. |
