Angelamercy Baltazary is assistant lecturer at the Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation within the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Dar Es Salaam. She has been a member of staff at UDSM since 2022 April. Ms. Angelamercy holds a B.S degree in Wildlife Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture and she holds M.S degrees in Life Science specializing in Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystems Management.  

Ms. Angelamercy has the passion, skills and knowledge in biodiversity and wildlife conservation, community conservation as well as climate change. Her specific interest is in biodiversity and wildlife conservation as well as climate change, specifically community conservation through indigenous people and local communities (IPLCs) knowledge in conservation.   Ms. Angelamercy has over 10 years working in the conservation industry. Ms. Angelamercy before joining UDSM she worked with other various conservation institutions in the country including; Geita Region as Regional Natural Resources Advisor and Game officer, Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism (Wildlife Division) as Wildlife officer and at Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority as Conservator and Game officer. She  has  experience in Trophy Hunting,  Community -Based Conservation,  Wildlife based Tourism and other Tourism related Business services.
