I am a senior lecturer of physical chemistry in the Chemistry Department, University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Tanzania. I obtained my bachelor degree (B.Sc. Ed) majoring in Chemistry, Biology and Education and M. Sc degree in chemistry from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I have a PhD in chemistry on Kinetics of Ligand Substitutions Reactions of Platinum Anticancer Drugs from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. My research and consultancy interests lie in the area of material science, computational chemistry and nanotechnology. I am supervising a number of undergraduate and postgraduate students in material science, computational chemistry and nanotechnology related fields. I have published articles in the peer reviewed local and international journals. In addition, I have been involved in different activities that promote chemistry and related sciences to students. These activities include chemistry for fun, chemistry festivals and training teachers in order to develop the required competencies in teaching chemistry for improved learning outcomes and quality of education in Tanzania.
