lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations, Management, and Lifelong Learning, School of Education, at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Tanzania. He holds a PhD in Education from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. Between 2020 and 2022, he worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for International Teacher Education (CITE), Cape Peninsular University of Technology [CPUT] in Cape Town, South Africa. He has researched and published widely in international education and development, Indigenous knowledge and education, anthropology of education, comparative and international education, teacher education, and gender and education. Drawing on the tools of critical education theories, his recent works have explored the intersection between global education policies/reforms and teacher education, with a solid focus on teaching, teachers, and continuing professional development (CPD), particularly in the Global South.
