Dr. Monday Israel Bwambayeko is an Assistant Lecturer of French in the Department of Languages and Literature. He holds a BA in Language Studies, MA in Conference Interpreting and PhD in Interpreting Studies. For the past thirteen years, Mr. Bwambayeko has been teaching undergraduate courses including French communicative competencies, French oral Interaction, French oral proficiencies and translation courses. Since 2019 to date, Mr Bwambayeko, as a visiting lecturer, interpreter and trainer, has been involved in teaching and evaluation of the Pan African University Master of Arts in Transborder Languages and Intercultural Communication (PTIC) students in Cameroon. His research interests include Second/Foreign language teaching and learning, listening and speaking skills, translation, interpretation and intercultural communication studies.

Mr. Bwambayeko served as the examination officer in the Department of Languages and Literature from 2018 to 2020, coordinator of the French section from 2016 to 2020 and member of the Dar es Salaam University College Website Editorial Bureau representing the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FoHSS) from April to December 2020. He is currently a member of the International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (IAPTI) from 2022.
