Current Summarised CV: | Simon Mutebi is a lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. He has a BA in Sociology (2009) and MA in Sociology (2012) from the University of Dar es Salaam. He completed his PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany in 2020. His PhD thesis was on subjective experiences and practices of sexual performance concerns among young men in urban Tanzania. He has published and done several presentations on gender, sexuality and health. Mutebi’s current research examines young men’s diversity experiences and female partners’ perspectives and reactions towards men with sexual performance concerns. He is currently an Early Career Research Fellow of ARUA-Carnegie at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the Notions of Identity in Africa, at the Makerere University, Uganda.
