Dr. Nyandoro obtained his Bachelor degree (2000), M.Sc. Chemistry (2003) and PhD (2010) from the UDSM. He was employed as Assistant Lecturer at UDSM in 2004 then promoted to a Lecturer position in 2010, and to Senior Lecturer in 2015. His research and consultancy interests lie in the natural products research for bioactive constituents from plants, algae, fungi, and other biological resources. He has supervised 19 M.Sc. and 7 PhD students by 2019. He has published 29 articles in the peer reviewed journals. Dr. Nyandoro`s International Research awards include Swedish Research Council Awards 2012 -2015; & 2017 – 2019; The Leverhulm – Royal Society Africa Award (UK-Tanzania-Ghana Collaborative Research) 2013 – 2016; Royal Society - Royal Society of Chemistry International Exchanges Award 2016–2018, and UDSM Competitive Research Grant Awards (three awards 2018-2019). Other awards he has received include 2nd Best University of Dar es Salaam Research Week Award (May 2017), the Best Academician in the Chemistry Department (2016-2017) and 3rd Best, College Level-UDSM Research Week Award (May 2018). Nyandoro is a member of Natural Product Research Network for Eastern and Central Africa (NAPRECA)-Tanzania Chapter, where he has served as a treasurer from 2009 to date. He is also a member of Southern African Biochemistry and Informatics for Natural Products Network (SABINA) – Tanzania Node since 2009 and a member of Tanzania Chemical Society. Nyandoro did his postdoctoral research (September 2014 - August 2015) at the University of Gothenburg under auspices of Swedish Institute (SI) by virtue of which he became a member of the SI Network for Future Global Leaders (NFGL). Dr. Nyandoro is the Chairperson of Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) Spices and Condiments Technical Committee (AFDC 7; 2014 – Date), and currently the Deputy Principal, CoNAS (2018/2019 – 2021/2022 Triennium).

Dr. Nyandoro, is a Senior Lecturer in the Chemistry Department, University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). His research and consultancy interests lie in the natural products research for bioactive constituents from plants, algae, fungi, etc. Nyandoro obtained his Bachelor degree (B.Sc.Ed, 1st Class Hons) (2000), M.Sc. Chemistry (2003), and PhD (2010) in the area of natural products chemistry from the UDSM. He was employed as Assistant Lecturer at UDSM in 2004 then promoted to a Lecturer position in 2010 upon completion of his Research Week Award, May 2021. Nyandoro has served for 8 years as the Chairperson of Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS) Spices and Condiments Technical Committee, AFDC 7 (2014 – 2022)  and as the Deputy Principal, College of Natural and Applied Science (CoNAS) for 2018/2019 –2021/2022 triennium. Dr. Nyandoro is recognized nationally, regionally and internationally in his scholarly field of natural products chemistry, hence participating in different fora research collaborations and networks. PhD studies, and to Senior Lecturer in 2015. Dr. Nyandoro did his one-year (September 2014 to August 2015) postdoctoral research at the University of Gothenburg under auspices of Swedish Institute (SI). He has supervised 24 M.Sc. and 9 PhD students and 2 Postdoctoral researcher by 2022 in natural products chemistry and related fields.
