Current Summarised CV: | Dr. Steven Elisamehe Temu has recently successfully defended his PhD thesis (Zoology) titled 'A comparative study on some ecological aspects of golden jackals (Canis aureus) and silver-backed jackals (Canis mesomelas) in the Southern part of the Serengeti ecosystem, Tanzania’. He has been an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation within the College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS), University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), since 2013. Before joining UDSM, Dr Temu worked as a Research Assistant in Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI; Mahale - Gombe Research Centre) from 2010 to 2013 after completing his BSc. in Wildlife Science and Conservation at the University of Dar es Salaam in 2008. He holds an MSc in Wildlife and Terrestrial Ecology from the University of Dar es Salaam (2016). He has made some publications in international journals. Dr Temu's major areas of research, teaching and consultancy include wildlife ecology (particularly, carnivore ecology), biodiversity conservation, environmental science, and biostatistics. He lives in Dar es Saalam, Tanzania. In his free time, Dr Temu enjoys watching wildlife documentaries and football. |
