Teaching:
The interface of African philosophy and literature, Pan- Africanists and their world view, fictions and creative writing, themes and artistic techniques in Swahili literature and African literature today.
Research:
African religion and philosophy, Black/African aesthetics, African indigenous knowledge, the cultural ecology and ethnobotany in African communities, the world literature Vs African/Swahili literature.
