SAID A. SIMA

Education:

Teaching:

  • Teaching and research interests:  Are on optimization courses particularly transportation models, mathematical statistics and queuing models. Also I am much interested   research on Mathematics education.

Research:

Dr. Sima has research interest in optimization in stochastic and deterministic.  He has supervised 2 masters’ students for completion and two are currently supervised.

Projects:

  1. He has participated in many professional educational activities organized by Tanzania Institutes of Education (TIE) that deal with books.
  2.  Ministry of Education of Science and Technology in the professional development for primary and secondary mathematics teachers under the project of Teacher Education Support Project (TESP). Currently I am Chairperson of national facilitators in this project that works in 20 district councils.
  3. National Chairperson of the Mathematical Association of Tanzania (MAT/CHAHITA) in 2016 – 2019 and the current General Secretary of the Association.
