The Western Indian Ocean Early Career Scientists Network (WIO-ECSN) is an initiative to promote scientific research through fostering strong regional ties among early career scientists and representing their collective scientific interests at an international level. The Initiative is registered and working under Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) in the WIO region. The network conducted a one day meeting on 19th March 2021 at IMS with the main objective of sharing different opportunities that the network (WIO-ECSN) can offer to the students and early career scientists at IMS. All undergraduate students participated and few postgraduate students who are members of the network were among the participants.
