The Vice-Chancellor Prof. William Anangisye held talks with the Tanzania Ambassador to Ethiopia, Hon. Innocent Shiyo in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, early this week.  Prof. Anangisye, who is accompanied by other UDSM officials, is on an official visit to Ethiopia mainly to set plans and implementation of instituting Kiswahili as a working language for the Commission of the AU, and on that regard, The University of Dar es Salaam and Addis Ababa University signed a Memorandum of Understanding on a collaboration to teach Kiswahili. The MoU, signed by UDSM Vice-Chancellor Prof. William Anangisye, and the President of Addis Ababa University, Prof. Tassew Woldehanna, follows a decision by the AU to adopt Kiswahili as its official working language recently.
