Current Summarised CV: | Luiana P. Makundi (PhD) is a new staff at UDSM with 13 years of experience in teaching Architecture, Interior Design and Fine Arts courses. She also has experience in Researching, Consultancy activities, revision and creation of new academic curriculums. Prior to joining the academic world in 2009, Makundi was a practicing architect in Washing, DC for 9 years. She holds a PhD in Architecture from Ardhi University with a focus on the impact of Culture on the traditional dwelling spaces in Tanzania. Makundi is particularly passionate about meaningful design for the people including cultural appropriation of spaces and Sustainable Design practices. She is currently assigned to oversee undergraduate dissertation work as well as research methodology courses for students in architecture, quantity survey and civil engineering programs.
