The Institute of Gender Studies and the Institute of Development Studies are implementing a project on Gender and Digitisation across Context. The project is part of a six-year project under the Norwegian Agency for Development Co-operation (NORAD) through the Norwegian Programme for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development (NORHED II). The project is implemented with two other partner institutions: The University of Agder (Norway) and Makerere University (Uganda). The project aims to improve the teaching of programmes in Gender Studies, support institutional-civil society engagement, enhance Gender equality, support capacity-building on Gender-related research activities and empower students to develop and acquire skills and competencies relevant to supporting and enhancing Gender Equality and Development in higher education institutions and communities.
The project seeks to offer partial scholarship to one continuing postgraduate student in MA Gender Studies at the University of Dar es Salaam. The partial scholarship will cover tuition fee and stipend to sustain candidates during the proposal development, fieldwork and dissertation writing stages.
