The Dean Faculty of Education, has a pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty. The Faculty of Education is part of the three faculties constituting the Dar es Salaam University of College Education (DUCE). Founded in September 2005, DUCE is a constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam established to train graduate teachers for secondary schools and teachers’ colleges. The Faculty of Education at DUCE envisions becoming a leading centre for education studies and a gateway to the teaching profession in the region and beyond.

The Faculty operates through two departments: the Department of Educational Psychology and Curriculum Studies and the Department of Educational Foundations, Management and Lifelong Learning. The Faculty management consists of the Dean and the Heads of the two Departments.

The Faculty is a home to a vast of resources both human and non-human. You will meet academicians with notable experiences in teaching, consultancy and research in different fields of education such as educational management, school administration, psychology, foundations, curriculum studies, science education and special education.
