The Faculty of Science is a vibrant entity of DUCE's community charged with mission of producing high quality science educators and scientists to meet needs at home and beyond. The Faculty endeavors to inculcate values of integrity, originality, self-supervision, community service and hard work among students and Faculty Members.

By Choosing the Faculty of Science at DUCE, a student is guaranteed of receiving world class training on skills and knowledge in basic/applied sciences as well as pedagogy. Aspiring students should rest assured that they are at the right place and in safe, able hands of caring, motivated and experienced Faculty members. We pledge to continuously enhance the quality of educational provision to satisfy the ever changing market demands. The Faculty, in the near future, will start offering high class non education programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, to address challenges Tanzanians face in various fields including environment, health and agriculture.

The Faculty possess a rich array of experts in major scientific fields including, Separation Science (Capillary Electrophoresis), Aquatic/Geological/Atmospheric pollution, Organic synthesis, Natural products, Bioanalytical chemistry, Nanomaterials, Biodiversity/Conservation, Environment education/ Science [Chemistry, physics, Biology], Molecular/Cell biology, Parasitology, Botany, Ecology, Mathematical epidemeology, Mathematical ecological/ hydrological Modelling, Data assimilation Solar energy and microfluidic applications of biological molecules. Students and wider community are welcome!
