Rodrick G. Ndomba is a Senior Lecturer  and the founder Head of the Department of Languages and Literature at Dar es Salaam University College of Education; the College’s largest academic unit. Syntactic theory and Bantu linguistics are his favourite areas of teaching, academic investigation, and publications. He has taught several courses in linguistics – both undergraduate and postgraduate, including linguistic structure, social and biological aspects of language, linguistic theory, morphology, and English language practice. So far he has published in Kiswahili syntactic theory and Bantu linguistics in general. He has as well taken part in education-related researches – a country survey of out of school children under UNICEF and teacher education under UNESCO. He has written a students’ textbook on reading and literature teaching methodology and plans to broaden his research base on that side of academics.
