Teaching:
Zoology particularly invertebrate and vertebrate (chordate) zoology, entomology and parasitology, developmental biology (embryology), vector biology, protozoology and helminthology, biostatistics and scientific methods and bioethics.
Research:
Disease ecology and epidemiological investigations of neglected tropical diseases particularly schistosomiasis, soil-transmitted helminthiases and intestinal protozoan infections.
Examination and identification of disease-causing organisms and assessment of the status and distribution of diseases.
Assessment of wildlife health (diseases) and other zoonotic infections.
Application of geospatial tools such as GIS and remote sensing (RS) in the assessment and management of disease risks and transmission.
Integration of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) into disease control and management.
