The College Principal, Prof. Stephen Oswald Maluka, held a meeting with first-year students on 6th November, 2024, at the New Lecture Theatre C. This marked the Principal's first public appearance before the first-year students. During the meeting, Prof. Maluka welcomed the students and introduced his College Management team.

In his speech, Prof. Maluka expressed appreciation for the College's workforce. He highlighted that, the College employs 608 dedicated and hardworking staff members, including 301 academic staff and 307 administrative staff. He further noted that the College has 6 professors and 129 staff members holding doctoral degrees. In that context, Prof. Maluka assured students that the College has a strong and committed workforce dedicated to support their academic journey.

As part of his welcoming message, Prof. Maluka encouraged first-year students to adhere to university regulations, avoid immoral behaviors, take precautions against communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, and report any cases of sexual harassment to the Gender Desk.

Prior, the Principal’s speech, the Deputy Principal (Planning, Finance and Administration), Prof. Method Samwel Semiono, addressed the first-year students. He advised them to carefully navigate university life by managing their finances, time, dressing appropriately and personal hygiene, while also maintaining a balanced diet.

On the other hand, the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Dr. Hezron Onditi requested students to work hard, strive for academic excellence, observe character development and exhibit maturity as they progress through their university education.
