The University of Dar es Salaam  School of Education Scholar, Dr. Philipo Lonati Sanga has been appointed as one of the founding members of the editorial board for the MOJA Journal of Adult Education for the period of three years, from 2022.

According to the appointment information by the MOJA Content Manager and Editor Prof. Ivor Baatjes, Dr. Sanga is among the carefully “selected nine founding members of the editorial board to represent the broad regions of Africa: West Africa, East Africa, North Africa, Central Africa and Southern Africa”.  

“I am glad to inform you that based on your reliable expertise in the field of adult learning and education coupled with sound experience in journal management, MOJA has appointed you as a member of the Editorial Board of its publications”, said Prof. Baatjes.

The information further stated that MOJA, as a platform of adult learning and education in Africa, has established MOJA Journal of Adult Education which is a continental publication outlet and it will currently be headquartered in South Africa.

Dr. Sanga, is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations, Management and Lifelong Learning, School of Education, Associate Chief Editor of the Journal of Papers in Education and Development (PED)  as well as a member of the editorial board of the International Diplomatic Review.

Dr. Sanga, who has attended the first Editorial Board meeting of the MOJA Journal of Adult Education in November, 2022 in Johannesburg, South Africa, is grateful to join the board, and optimistic that the new position will be of great importance to the development of adult education scholarship at the University of Dar es Salaam and in Tanzania at large.

Dr. Sanga joins the list of other University of Dar es Salaam lecturers who were recently appointed as editors for various International Journals namely Dr. Samwel Limbu (Taylor & Francis Journal of Applied Aquaculture); Dr. Salvatory Nyanto (African History Review); and Dr. Elgidius Ichumbaki (Taylor & Francis Journal of Heritage and Society).
