Dr. Stephen Mabagala is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, School of Education at the University of Dar es Salaam. He holds a PhD from Kenyatta University in Kenya, where he graduated in 2013. His research focus was on the extent of compliance with the professional code of ethics and conduct among physical education teachers in Tanzania. His Master’s and Undergraduate’s training were from the University of Dar es Salaam, where he obtained his Master of Arts in Education (MA. Ed)  in 2002 and Bachelor of Education (Honors) degree in 2000.  Mabagala has been teaching in the School of Education at the University of Dar es salaam since May 2003. His research interest has been on Professional Ethics in Education and Sports, sport management, and physical activity and health.  Stephen has published on both national and international referred journals and has been involved in a number of national, regional and international academic meetings aimed at capacity building and research in education and physical education and sport in particular
