Dr. Abel Mwiburi is a Lecturer at the Private Law Department of the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law. He joined the University in 2009. Before joining the University, Dr. Mwiburi was employed as a Tax Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B. 2008), Master of Laws degree (LL.M. 2011) from the University of Dar es Salaam and Ph.D. (2018), University of Bayreuth, Germany. In his service with the University, Dr. Mwiburi has been involved in teaching and leading seminars in various subjects including Family Law, Jurisprudence, Law of Business Associations, Tax Law, and Law of Negotiable Instruments. He has also served as UDSoL Examinations Officer for more than three years (2012-2015). Dr. Mwiburi is a member of Tanganyika Law Society and the East African Law Society, Bar Associations for Tanzania Mainland and East African countries respectively. His current areas of interest are ICT/Cyberlaw, Tax Law, and Business/Corporate Law.
