Dr Goodluck Temu

Dr.Goodluck Temu is a Lecturer at the Department of Private Law. He joined the School in 2012 as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.M-Hons), 2012 and a Master of Laws (LL.M), 2013, from the University of Dar es Salaam. In 2016, he obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania. Dr Temu holds a Doctor of Laws degree (Summa cum Laude) from the University of Bayreuth, Germany. 

Dr. Temu’s areas of interest are competition law, telecommunications law, banking and finance law and the law of contract. Dr Temu teaches the following courses at an undergraduate level;

  1. Law of Contract (I&II)
  2. Banking Law 
  3. Commercial and Consumer Transactions Law

At the postgraduate level, Dr Temu teaches

  1. Advanced Banking Law
  2. Competition Law
  3. Advanced Payment Systems 
  4. Graduate Research Seminar 

 Besides his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Temu has been engaged with the Tanzania-German Centre for Eastern Africa Legal Studies (TGCL) under the School of Law. He was an Assistant to the Coordinator in Tanzania from 2014 to 2017. Dr. Temu is also an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. He is a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths. He is a member of Tanganyika Law Society and East Africa Law Society, Bar Associations for Tanzania mainland and East African countries respectively. He may be contacted at temugoodluck@gmail.com
