Dr. Nicksoni Filbert is a Lecturer at the Department of Private Law. He joined the School in 2015 as a Tutorial Assistant. His areas of interests are Public International Law, International Criminal Law, International Humanitarian Law and Transnational Criminal Law. Dr. Nicksoni has a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL. B.  2015), University of Dar es Salaam, and Master of Laws Degree (LL. M. - 2018), University of Western Cape, South Africa and a Ph.D. from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany (2020).

Dr. Nicksoni is a very dynamic, talented and committed young scholar. During his brief time at the School, served as an Assistant Examination Officer and a member of the School’s Board. Before joining the School in 2015, Dr. Nicksoni was highly and actively involved in the leadership of the University of Dar es Salaam Students Organization (DARUSO) where he served as President in 2014-2015.
